Be our guest for your stay in the Burnhams
Camping
Basic camping in a beautiful setting on the edge of Burnham Thorpe village: this is camping 'au naturel' (or
as near as most of us would wish to be!) with water, toilets and even (new for 2012!) showers!
Burnham Thorpe is famous as the birthplace of Lord Nelson and as well as being a charming village (with an
excellent pub) is only a couple of miles from the sea at
Overy Staithe and a similar distance from
Holkham Hall, great house and the seat of the Earls of Leicester.
The coastline here has some of the country's
most spectacular sandy beaches (you may find them strangely familiar, in fact - they've appeared in enough
films!) but you shouldn't neglect the countryside inland where lanes and footpaths connect ancient villages
through rolling farmland - ideal for walking or cycling through a landscape that feels as warm and
unchanging as a hovis advert.
Camping: £10/night, no extras. Sorry, we can't accomodate touring caravans or camper vans. See
contact details to book.
